Are You Smarter than a Teacher?
Some Parkland students are about to find out.
The Spanish Honor Society and National Honor Society at Parkland High School will co-host the 'Are You Smarter than a Teacher?' contest at 3:15 p.m. on Jan. 29. Proceeds will benefit the Parkland Education Foundation.
Students will form teams of five students each to compete against teacher teams of the same size. There will be a teacher or student reader of questions at each station in the categories of: math, science, sports, pop culture, history, and the arts.
Each team must answer 10 questions correctly and a bonus question to move on in the tournament. Brackets of teams will compete until the final two face off in an academic super bowl.
Each player will pay $3 to compete.
So far, 35 teachers have signed up to participate on seven teams.
