Allentown Pair Charged In Upper Mac Theft

Charges stem from Feb. 1 eviction from rental property.

say an Allentown man and woman were arrested and charged with theft and receiving stolen property April 17, stemming from an eviction process earlier this year.

Police said William Dougherty, 33, and Lauren Dougherty, 28, both of Allentown, were evicted Feb. 1 from a residence they rented at 330 Tupelo Court. Police said the pair unlawfully removed property from the residence at the time of the eviction.

Charges were formally filed April 17. The pair will appear before at a date to be determined, police said.

Police said Feby was involved in an automobile accident on Route 100 near Penn Drive at 8:49 p.m. April 12. -- Police said Ariel Peralta, 28, of Hazleton, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol April 10 after officers stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation on southbound Route 222 near Route 100 at 2:57 a.m. Peralta will appear before at a later date, police said.

-- Police said Theron Cook, 26, of Allentown, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol April 9 after officers stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation at the intersection of Route 222 and Grim Road at 2:40 a.m. Cook will appear before at a later date, police said.

-- Police said Nicole Sicher, 33, of Alburtis, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol April 9 after officers stopped her vehicle for a traffic violation on southbound Grange Road near Ruppsville Road at 1:07 a.m. Sicher will appear before at a later date, police said.
