Alburtis Woman Charged With DUI After March 30 Accident

Riley Stahley also charged with reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.

Berks-Lehigh Regional Police charged an Alburtis woman with driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child stemming from a March 30 hit-and-run automobile accident.

Police said Riley Stahley, 21, of Alburtis left the scene of a March 30 accident on Schantz Road in Upper Macungie Township at approximately 4:30 a.m.

Police said a witness picked Stahley and her child up and drove them to the Schantz Road Wawa store.

Police said they obtained a warrant for subsequent blood alcohol tests that determined Stahley was DUI when the accident occurred. She was formally charged and arrested May 16.

Stahley received a summary citation and will appear before District Judge Charles Crawford at a later date, police said.

-- Elsewhere, police said Neil Kavounes, 18, of Allentown was charged and arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass May 22 at Trexler Plaza Sunoco on Tilghman Street in Allentown.

Police said Kavounes, who had been previously banned from the premises, entered the establishment at 6:40 a.m. and entered into an argument with the owner. Police said they were called to scene at that time.

Police said Kavounes received a summary citation and will appear before District Judge Charles Crawford at a later date.
