2 New Members Appointed To Recreation Board
The appointments follow the resignation of longtime member Chuck Thomas.
The Upper Macungie Township Recreation Board recently added two members and lost one.
The township's Board of Supervisors, at the recommendation of the recreation board, appointed Jeffrey Pascoe and Jennifer Kidd to open position. The board also accepted the resignation of longtime member Chuck Thomas.
The recreation board is an advisory body in that it makes recommendations to the township supervisors on recreation matters and the supervisors set policy.
The recreation board holds its meetings on the last Thursday of the month with the next meeting scheduled for March 28 at 7 p.m. at the township building.
In other business, the recreation board reported that between $2,500 and $3,000 is needed for a water fountain at the dog park, located at Upper Macungie Park.
A total of $355 has currently been raised as a result of a donation letter posted at the park.
